Lumokids’ customer registry.
Handling of Personal Information and the Point of the Registry and Reason for Keeping the Registry
The registry holder or its authorised associate, uses customers’ or potential customers’ personal information, according to personal information law for the following purposes:
• customer relations handling and development
• provision and delivery of products and services
• payments, payment monitoring and collection
• marketing and online sales of the registry holder’s goods and services and
• developing the business practices and customer services of the registry holder.
The registry’s main use is for the upkeep of LumoKids’ customer database and archiving and handling of customer orders. The registry is also used to track down lost packages. Information can be used for the develpoment of LuomiKids’ operations and for statistical purposes. Personal information is handled within the boundaries of personal information law.
The registry’s information may be used for targeted advertising within LumoKids’s own registry, without sharing personal information with third parties. LumoKids may use associates for the upkeep of customer services. Some registry information may be transferred to associates due to technical requirements. Information is handled only through LumoKids’s customer relations maintenance technical limitations.
Information Included in the Registry
The personal registry contains the following information:
• The person’s forename and surname
• Email address
• Postal address
• Phone number
• Information regarding ongoing orders
• Order tracking information
Regular Information Sources
LumoKids.com has the right to publish information contained in the customer registry electronically or on written mailouts, unless the customer specifically forbids it. Mailouts mean for example posted advertisments. The customer has the right to forbid publishing of information by notifying LumoKids’s customer service by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Information pertaining to current and prospective customers is obtained through, among others, tenders, newsletter orders, product orders, taking part in competitions and in conjunction with other forms of contact, as well as from information saved through the use of customer products and services. Additionally, customer information is acquired, among others, in conjunction with sales. From these sources, only the information pertaining to potential customers who have given marketing or contact consent, is saved.
Personal information may also be collected, stored and updated from the registries of the Population Register Centre, Suomen Asiakastieto Co and other address, update and other relevant registry services.
Regular Information Transfers Outside of the EU or European Economic Area
Information is not transferred outside of LumoCollection Co. Personal information is not transferred outside of the European Union, unless it is necessary to ensure the technical implementation of the requirements of LumoKids or its associate. In accordance with legal proceedings, information may be shared with the authorities.
The Registry’s Protection Principles
The registry is not shared with third parties. The registry’s information is collected in a database, protected by firewalls, passwords and through other technical means. Only people in the service of LumoCollection Co or its authorized agents, which require the information in order to perform their duties, have the right to access the information. LumoCollection Co requires its staff and associates to keep customer information secret. They use usernames and passwords. Material in manual form is stored in LumoCollection Co’s offices, which are locked and guarded.
Right to Check, Refuse and Amend
According to article 26 § of the personal information law, the customer has the right to check information pertaining to them and demand that erroneus information is corrected in the registry.
Registered users have the right to deny the use of their information for the purposes of marketing, remote sales or surveys.
Cookies are small text files which the website stores on the user’s computer. The user can prevent cookies in their browser settings or delete them through their browser settings afterwards.
